Usually admission takes the Deuce.Zero grade point average & either SAT scores of 104Or even more or an ACT score of 23 or even thomas more. Applier using moo trial scores come admitted by having higher gradepoint norm. Others can be considered for admission. Any Native American who meets admission qualifications is excused from paying tuition.

Fort Lewis originated once the U.S. Army post of the same name was abandoned and a school for Native Americans established on the site. Within 1911 courses inside agriculture were added using a select few college courses in 1925. Within 1933 the curriculum was limited to college level courses & inside 1948 Fort Lewis became a junior college. It moved to Durango inside 1956 first granting baccalaureate degrees in 1964. Fort Lewis was section of a Colorado State University Technique under the governance of the State Board of Agriculture. An independent board of trustees presently governs Fort Lewis College.
